Thank you for joining Cumbria Youth Brass Band

Our first rehearsal will be held on 20th September at Keswick School. We will then be rehearsing at Keswick School, Millom Palladium and Northside Community Centre: spacious venues in the north, south and west of the county. We are also introducing some longer rehearsal sessions, with space and facilities for parents and carers to relax, catch up over a coffee or work using the Wi-Fi while rehearsals are taking place.

This year's programme, led by our new Musical Director, Anna Hughes-Williams, includes a return to the South Cumbria Music Festival and another appearance at Cumbria's Big Brass Weekend (taking place on 26 June 2027 after the exam season has finished). A login for your online Scout Manager account, where you can see all details, will be sent to you in a separate email shortly. Make sure to check your spam folder.

We're grateful for the support of the Cumbria Music Education Hub, RNCM Engage and Brass Bands England, but most of all to our parents and carers, who are the greatest supporters of the next generation of musicians.

What to bring to rehearsals and events

Please use this checklist before every rehearsal or event:

• Your band polo shirt (to order, use the shop link below)
• Your music folder
• Your instrument
• A water bottle
