String Beats is a trio of musicians that specialise in classical and Bollywood music. They are available for weddings, birthdays and any other celebration where classical Indian music or Bollywood is required.

Since their formation in 2015, this trio has performed all over the world, and have performed at prestigious venues, functions, and events such as The Savoy London, The Barbican Centre, the wedding of DJ Frenzy and for the Mayor of Leicester.

String Beats offer a wide array of services, tailor made to create an incredible musical experience for all guests attending. Their services include, but are not limited to, background music at wedding receptions, drinks receptions, phera ceremonies, birthdays and corporate events.

String Beats are renowned for performing at drinks receptions and performing alongside the pandit ji during the pheras ceremony, creating a unique, engaging and enjoyable experience for guests.

About the Music

String Beats typically perform as a trio of Sarangi, Sitar and Tabla players. The Sitar is the most iconic and recognised of all Indian Classical Instruments, brought into world view by the legendary maestros Pt. Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. The Sarangi, a hidden gem of the Indian Classical Music, is one of the rarest instruments, requiring prodigious skill to harness its haunting beauty. The Tabla is the staple of Indian Classical Music, recognised to be the most versatile, diverse and rich drums in the world, the tabla delivers rhythm and groove in a manor no other instrument on the planet can.

Each of our musicians have been classically trained by the leading maestros of their respective fields within the UK and therefore are capable of playing just about any genre of music on their instruments. This can range from soothing and meditative Indian Classical Ragas to iconic and contemporary Bollywood and Indian Folk songs, even to the pulse raising and crowd-pleasing smash hits of Snoop Dog and Sean Paul. Technical Information

For the best audio experience, a PA system is required. If the venue cannot provide a PA system, String Beats will provide a PAT tested PA system for a £50 hire fee.

For the best staging, String Beats request that their performance area is near (within 1m distance) of a plug socket to ensure power to the PA system. Also a staging area of 2m x 1.5m is recommended for the musicians.
