Bold as Brass Podcast

Born of the Covid-19 pandemic, during the lockdown of 2020, self-confessed nosy trombonist, Melissa Brown, began wondering what her colleagues did in their spare time as she suddenly had a lot of it herself. She then wondered if she could create an interview around this and a podcast was born.

Now, 100 episodes later, the podcast releases weekly interview episodes with a range of guests from a variety of brass disciplines. In addition the show often hosts panel discussions and issue bonus content surrounding wider brass interests such as new commissions for brass and wellbeing. The series is followed by student, professional, and general brass enthusiasts from around the world.

Bold as Brass Podcast will be travelling to, and participating in, the International Women’s Brass Conference in Denton, Texas, in May 2022.
