Always wanted to play an instrument? Tebay School of Brass is a friendly beginner group where children, young people and adults can learn a brass instrument from scratch together. Whether you're 8 or 80, no previous musical experience is needed, and instruments are available to borrow, making it easy and affordable to get started.
Meeting every Tuesday, 5:30–6:30pm at Tebay Methodist Church, sessions are led by Kath, supported by Julie and experienced volunteer musicians. We learn through fun, practical music-making, building confidence, friendships and new skills in a welcoming, supportive environment. Many players progress into T-Brass, our training band, before joining local community bands, while others simply enjoy making music together each week. More than 60 people have already begun their musical journey through the Tebay programme.
