This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a top professional Wherever you are with your playing, you will leave with new ideas and knowledge to take back to your bandroom. This workshop is free but booking is essential. Show your ticket at reception to receive the correct wristband for this event. What it's about: Participatory masterclass for brass musicians with Nova Quartet (Royal Northern College of Music) Book quickly for this fantastic opportunity - a brass masterclass with the Nova Quartet : Finalists in the Philip Jones Brass Chamber Prize The Nova Quartet are some of the country's best young musicians and wherever you are with your playing, you will leave with new ideas and knowledge to take back to your bandroom. In the run up to Cumbria's Big Brass Weekend We ar In the run up to Cumbria's Big Brass Weekend We are going to be introducing some of the bands who will be entertaining you on the day, along with details of how YOU can get involved in playing brass music for yourself with YOUR local band. Today we are featuring Kirkby Stephen Silver Band. KSSB are a friendly, non contesting community band. They run a beginners group on Fridays at 6pm where you are welcome to come along and play. The main band meets on Mondays at 7.30 pm. They have a fabulous spring concert coming up on April 19th and more information can be found at www.kssb.org.uk or on their Facebook page.
