What are we doing for brass bands? We’re giving m What are we doing for brass bands? We’re giving more people their first opportunity to pick up an instrument and experience the fun of making music. Through taster days and have-a-go sessions at community events, we take our colourful plastic brass instruments out into towns and villages across Cumbria. They offer an easy, accessible way for people of all ages to try brass playing—often for the very first time. We can then help interested players find their nearest community band and discover how they can continue. Because every lifelong brass player has to start somewhere—and sometimes it begins with one plastic instrument and the confidence to have a go.
Come and have a go at Barrow Brass Fest! Drum and Come and have a go at Barrow Brass Fest!
