KSSB is a band with a long history. The player boasts some fine players who are all extremely generous with their time and expertise. Our many new players therefore benefit from excellent support and encouragement.

Our partnership with Drum and Brass, who run our training bands, is the key to the band’s recent expansion.

We are lucky enough to have our own band hut in a beautiful setting by the river in Kirkby Stephen. With a kitchen, store rooms and teaching rooms, it’s the perfect place for music-making.
