The KSSB youth group is a learning group for young people aged 8-18. All are welcome to try out instruments – which are loaned out by Kirkby Stephen Silver Band, along with uniforms and music – and choose one to learn the basics of music reading, playing and performing.
The band is an opportunity to learn music in an affordable and friendly environment. Our players get many opportunities to explore music-making and music-management. They can work towards badges, play with the main band, join the Cumbria Youth Band and integrate music into their lives in the way that they want to.
Teaching format: face to face at the Kirkby Stephen Band Hut. Nearby parking is available.
