Brass player and teacher

Teacher of trumpet as main instrument to grade 8 and beyond / performance level and most brass for beginners

Currently working with Cumbria Music Hub as a tutor and developing brass ensembles, targeting primary schools. 

I play in Sedbergh Town Band, Kendal Big Band (lead trumpet) and Kendal Concert Band (principal trumpet)

Teaching format: face-to-face at pupil’s premises/outside premises

Almost 50 years of experience including:

  • One year at the Royal Military School of Music Kneller Hall
  • 10 years service in the band of The Royal Green Jackets
  • Playing in a Championship section brass band (Hitchin)
  • Principal trumpet player for RAF Halton volunteer band

Safeguarding

Valid DBS certificate held

Safeguarding training via the Hub and previously police safeguarding training.
