Bringing people together to make music builds communities and improves wellbeing
And over nearly a decade, we have brought a lot of music to a lot of places. See a few of our projects and case studies below.

We influenced safeguarding in music-making with our online training during lockdown
We have included some 500 people who would otherwise have been excluded from music-making in the last 3 years with our inclsuive approach and ethos.
Our Cumbria Brass Network has brought energy and confidence to Cumbria’s Brass bands and energised a new generation of young players.
Projects and case studies
HMP Music Workshops Leicester
From September 2017 Amy and Julie of Drum and Brass will provide weekly performance arts sessions for inmates at HMP Leicester. This is part of a national recognition of the value of the arts in rehabilitation. It follows our successful pilot at HMP Glen Parva.

We develop partnerships that open doors to to music-making for those facing barriers.
Other partnerships support our participants on their musical journeys, such as working with the Royal Northern College of Music
D+B impacts music-making practice …
… at grassroots, regional and national levels. This takes a combination of listening, responding and strategic planning.
Our directors never stop learning and listening. Attending conferences, holding conferences and being part of national conversations is as vital to us as CPD.
