Queen's Jubilee Young Composers Project

CELEBRATION OF THE QUEEN’S JUBILEE THROUGH THE ARTS

Liga is a “cultural producer” who runs a CIC in Leicester called Buzzing Roots. Liga partnered with Julie Hoggarth of Drum and Brass to devise a project called “Music For the Queen” creating an opportunity for members of the community to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with music, crafts and poetry. Popi Charitaki of Armonia Music was also part of the project and helped to run creative workshops and lead the community celebration event at Leicester’s Westcotes Library on Sunday May 29th 2022.
